A two-player card game

This app features three card games: Four Card Golf, Six Card Golf, and Scat. Choose your preferred game in Settings.

Four Card Golf Rules

This is a two-player card game.

Similar to real golf, the objective is to score as few points as possible.

Each game consists of nine rounds. At the start of each round, players receive four face-down cards. The remaining cards form the draw pile, with one card placed face-up in the discard pile.

Before play starts, each player may look once at the two cards closest to them in their square layout. These cards must remain hidden from the opponent. Players cannot check these cards again unless discarding them during play or scoring at the end of the round.

On your turn, draw a card from the draw pile. You may swap it with any card in your layout, but you cannot check the face of the card you are replacing. Try to remember which card you swapped. Place the replaced card face-up in the discard pile. Alternatively, you may draw from the discard pile and simply discard it face-up without using it.

If you draw from the discard pile, you must use that card to replace one in your layout before discarding it. You cannot discard it without changing your layout.

You may choose to knock. After knocking, your turn ends. Play continues normally, but other players cannot knock. The round ends afterward.

Scoring:

- Pairs of cards (same rank) in a row or column score 0 points

- Jokers are worth -2 points

- Kings score 0 points

- Queens and Jacks are worth 10 points each

- All other cards are worth their face value

- Four cards of the same rank score -6 points

Six Card Golf Rules

This is a two-player card game.

Like real golf, the goal is to achieve the lowest score possible.

Each game has nine rounds. At the beginning of a round, each player gets six face-down cards. The remaining cards form the draw pile, with one card placed face-up in the discard pile.

Initially, each player must flip two of their cards face-up. Players can then reduce their score by swapping cards for lower-value ones or forming pairs in columns with cards of the same rank.

On your turn, draw from either the draw pile or discard pile. Swap the drawn card with one of your cards or discard it. If you swap with a face-down card, the new card remains face-up. If you discard the drawn card, your turn ends. The round concludes when all of a player's cards are face-up.

Scoring:

- Pairs of cards in a column score 0 points

- Jokers are worth -2 points

- Kings score 0 points

- Queens and Jacks are worth 20 points each

- All other cards are worth their face value

To swap one of your cards with a discard, tap on your card. To play a card from the deck, tap the draw pile to reveal it, then tap the discard pile to discard it or tap one of your cards to swap.
