This is an Augmented Reality (AR) application for the Magic Thousand Character comics.
Recommended Specifications:
- Recommended devices for AR (Augmented Reality) use: S8 or newer models.
- Due to the high-performance demands of the augmented reality feature, using the recommended device subtypes may be difficult.
- Even with a recommended model, installation may fail if the device has many pre-installed apps or insufficient storage space.

The Magong App (the official Magic Thousand Characters app) enhances your experience, making the comics more engaging and vivid.
Simply scan the book and cards using the AR (Augmented Reality) function to activate 3D Chinese character magic.
Starting from Volume 54, you can acquire cards and increase your leader level through promotion training triggered by scanning the book!
(For Volumes 1-53, only 3D Chinese character magic is activated.)

You can acquire 3 types of character cards and 20 types of vocabulary cards for promotion training from each book.
View your collected cards in the Encyclopedia; touching a card displays its corresponding animation.
● Reinforcement System
Strengthen your acquired character cards into more powerful characters using magic stones.
● Boss Battle Content
Join your acquired characters to defeat bosses from the Magic Thousand Characters universe and earn rewards.
Rewards for defeating a boss are distributed according to your contribution level.

[ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) ]
▶ My book or card is not recognized when scanned.
- If the image isn't recognized well, tap the yellow [+] icon in the center to search for the image again.
- Recognition works best when the image is centered and viewed straight-on.
- Lighting glare can interfere; use the app in an area with minimal light reflection.
- Not all pages are AR-enabled. Please refer to the list of pages where Chinese character magic appears.
▶ Images may not be recognized, or the app may freeze.
- If the image isn't recognized well, tap the yellow [+] icon in the center to search again.
- The Magong app uses augmented reality (AR), which can cause device heat during prolonged, intensive use.
This may lead to app overload. Try closing the app for a while, then restarting it.
▶ The initial app launch takes a long time.
- The first launch requires time to prepare the system for recognizing images from the Magic Thousand Character Book.
- Older smartphones may run the app more slowly.
▶ It's tedious to write Chinese characters every time I scan the book.
- Enable 'Skip from the second Chinese character writing' in the settings to bypass this after the first time.
- This skip does not apply if a page contains two or more Chinese characters!
▶ An animation video plays but sometimes stops.
- Animation videos stream online, so a slow internet connection may cause interruptions.
- Please use the app in a stable Wi-Fi environment.
▶ The sound in my video recording is too low.
- The app records sound from the smartphone speaker. Please increase your speaker volume.
▶ Video recording stops automatically.
- Video recording is limited to 30 seconds and will automatically stop after this time.
- The front camera (selfie) records each AR model separately; recording stops automatically if you change models by scanning something else.
▶ My photos and videos don't appear in the smartphone gallery.
- Depending on your device, photos/videos may not display immediately due to media scanning delays.
In this case, restart your smartphone to see the photos/videos in the gallery.
▶ Do I need to grant permissions when installing the app?
- For normal operation, the app requires access to the camera, microphone, and storage.
- If you deny these permissions, app features may not function correctly.
▶ I can't comment on Plus Friends.
- The ability to comment on Plus Friends is a feature within KakaoTalk.
- Tap the 'Open with App' button at the top right or the post image to launch KakaoTalk via an external browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Then you can add comments.
- The 'Open KakaoTalk App' button is subject to security restrictions and may not work.
