Palace - Free Classic Card Game (Also Known as Shed, Karma, or "OG")
Palace was the most popular cafeteria and study hall card game during my high school years in the 1990s. According to Wikipedia, it's also a favorite among backpackers and has become widely popular as a result.

Play against eight computer opponents, each with unique playing styles, or compete live with your friends.
Basic Rules:
Each player receives three face-down cards. You cannot look at or change these until the end of the game. Next, three face-up cards are placed on top. Finally, each player is dealt three cards to form their hand. You may swap cards between your hand and your face-up cards if you wish.
The player holding a 3 or the next lowest card begins the game.
On your turn, you must discard one or more cards of equal or higher rank than the top card of the pickup pile. Then, draw cards to maintain at least three cards in your hand, unless the deck is empty or you already have three or more.
2s and 10s are wild cards. A 2 resets the pile, while a 10 clears it. Four of a kind, like a 10, also clears the pile.
If you cannot play a card matching or exceeding the top card or a wild card, you must pick up the entire pile.
When your hand and the deck are empty, play your face-up cards. Once those are gone, move on to your face-down cards.
The first player to get rid of all their cards wins.
