Vampire Survivors has just released a thrilling free DLC titled Emerald Diorama, which introduces a unique crossover with Square Enix's renowned JRPG series, SaGa. This marks the game's most significant update to date, bringing a fresh wave of content and gameplay enhancements.
Emerald Diorama Infuses JRPG Elements into Vampire Survivors
The Emerald Diorama DLC introduces a new stage designed as a mini world map, offering a world-hopping experience that resonates with JRPG fans. Players can explore this new environment and encounter over a dozen new characters, ranging from puppeteers to singers of cursed melodies.
The update also adds more than 16 new weapons and introduces the innovative Glimmer system, allowing players to randomly acquire new skills during their runs. Additionally, the soundtrack has been enriched with nine new music tracks, enhancing the immersive experience.
To unlock the Emerald Diorama, players need to visit Moongolow and interact with a new merchant. Purchasing the Emerald Disk for 50,000 gold will initiate the unlocking process, allowing access to the new content step by step.
A notable feature of the DLC is the introduction of character parties, enabling players to form their own mini squads for a more collaborative gameplay experience. For a sneak peek at what the Emerald Diorama offers, check out the launch trailer below.
Furthermore, the DLC includes two new Adventures, each comprising six chapters. "To End an Ice Age" is designed for the base game, while "Tides of the Foscari" expands the narrative within the new DLC.
Complementary Free Update: The Coop
Alongside the Emerald Diorama, Vampire Survivors has released another free update called The Coop, centered around chickens. This update introduces a new character named Gazebo, a new weapon, and a relic that accelerates gameplay.
Players can unlock various achievements and access Darkana. Collecting 500 lifetime floor chickens will unlock the full potential of The Coop update. A helpful tip for players: refrain from killing any enemies for the first minute of playing The Coop to unlock the Gaze of Gaea. Evolving it with Parm Aegis will further unlock Gazebo.
Vampire Survivors, along with the free DLC Emerald Diorama and the free update The Coop, is available on the Google Play Store. The game now supports cross-platform saving, allowing players to continue their progress across PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS.
