New Monster Outbreaks Feature Tested in Monster Hunter Now

Exciting times are ahead for fans of Monster Hunter Now, as Niantic introduces a thrilling new feature in the works called Monster Outbreaks. This is currently in the testing phase, where player feedback will be crucial in refining the feature before it becomes a permanent part of the game. Are you ready to dive into the action and help shape this new addition?

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

Mark your calendars! The Monster Outbreaks testing phase is scheduled to take place from April 26th to 27th. Each day, the event will run twice, providing ample opportunity for hunters to join in. The first session kicks off from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m., followed by another session from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., all in local time. Don't miss your chance to participate in this limited-time event!

During the event, specific outbreak points on the map will be teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge? Team up with fellow hunters to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at a single outbreak spot within the one-hour window. Remember, this isn't a global total but specific to each outbreak location.

To join the fray, you need to be at least HR 11. Also, note that the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are clearly marked with a special icon on the map, and by tapping on it, you can access all the necessary details. Plus, a sign-up roster at each spot lets you coordinate with other players.

The mechanics of the slay count add an interesting twist. If you and three other hunters take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the 100-monster goal. And if your group reaches the target before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.

Success in reaching the 100-monster target comes with rewards. Your group will earn 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster could earn you a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
