The White Wolf's saga is set to conclude with the much-anticipated fifth and final season of The Witcher, which is currently in production. Fans have been treated to a sneak peek of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the iconic role of Geralt de Rivia, thanks to seemingly leaked set photos shared by the dedicated Witcher fan site, Redanian Intelligence. These images showcase Hemsworth donning the character's signature long blonde hair and full costume, marking his transition into the role previously held by Henry Cavill.
The set photos also feature familiar faces such as Meng'er Zhang reprising her role as Milva and Joey Batey returning as the beloved bard Jaskier, both of whom have been integral to the series since Cavill's tenure. Hemsworth's casting was announced in October 2022, confirming his takeover from Cavill starting with Season 4 and continuing through the final season.

In addition to returning characters, the set images reveal new faces joining the cast in Season 4, who will also appear in the final season. Among them is the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, who will portray Emiel Regis.
These leaked images have sparked speculation among fans that Season 5 may draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's "Tower of the Swallow," particularly the plot involving Geralt's encounter with beekeepers who guide him toward druids. However, with Season 4 yet to be released, the narrative could take any number of directions, leaving plenty of room for anticipation and speculation.
It's worth noting that Cavill isn't the only cast member to depart the series. Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement or provide an official release date for Season 4.
