by Hannah May 03,2025

Sony has rolled out fresh updates for both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, enhancing various features and improving overall user experience.

The PS5 update, version 25.02-11.00.00, is a substantial 1.3GB download. This update brings significant improvements to the activities feature, allowing for full display of activity details on cards while keeping potential spoilers hidden. Additionally, the update introduces support for Unicode 16.0 emojis, enriching your messaging experience.

For families, there are new adjustments to parental controls. When set to Late Teens or Older, the Communication and User-Generated Content setting will automatically default to Restrict. However, if you had previously customized this setting, your preferences will remain unchanged and be labeled as Customize.

Beyond these specific enhancements, the update also boosts the overall performance and stability of the system software, along with improving messages and usability on various screens.
